Haze stumbled out of the forest, her fur matted with mud and blood. Her blue eyes that were once so sharp and pure were now clouded and dim. She had gone on a journey not many had taken. She had traveled into the forest and battle with herself. A battle that had left her next to dead, but some strange power had brought her back, it had pulled her from the shores of immortal eternity and back to the land where death rules and the living are it's subjects. Haze was weak and filled with more self-awareness she ever thought possible. With the knowledge she had gained, she now had to carry a burden. Something she did not speak of to anyone, not even Mars or Venus. She trapped it deep within her mind, passed the reaches of Moro's grasp or the power of mind reading. Haze slumped to the ground next to a small stream, lapping up much craved water before closing her eyes. "How can you trust others when you don't even trust yourself?" a strong voice spat, glaring at Haze's shaking body. Haze threw her graze past her own mirrored reflection. Not daring to look into her own gaze. If this is how most wolves felt when they looked at her, she'd have to close or advert her eyes more often. "I only trust those who I believe deserve it." Haze answered her voice sounding cracked and unsure. Her reflection sneered, moonlight bouncing off her dark pelt and jagged silver scar. "Ha! But what happens when you take that risk and they prove not to be worthy?" Haze still refuse to look her own way, she did't want to answer. She knew that her mirror image new that answer. "You beat yourself up, you retreat and loath yourself." her copy answered in a half laughing tone. She leapt into the air and slammed Haze to the ground. Her reflection's eyes turning black. "Learn to trust others and others Haze, or you will die alone, your own causation will be your demise." with that the image of Haze's copy and her memory vanished. Haze opened her eyes and allowed a single tear slip off her face and down into the stream, contorting her reflection in the water. "Your caution will be your demise." Haze echoed, before returning to the White Blood territory.

The short scout alerted Mareous immediately, to let the half dead male know that his love had returned.

Haze stopped outside of the line of the forest clearing. She hear something walk up behind her. A stiff figure looked at her, white fur with red war paint around the shoulders, along the back and face. Haze turned to face him, "Cray?" She asked, unsure of the white wolf. He locked eyes with her, still silent and stiff. She took a step to the side, trying to see how he'd react.
Cray opened his mouth and spoke with his deep voice, "Moro wants me to train with you." He paused and shuffled his feet slightly. "Will you train me?" he asked,. Haze growled but said nothing.
"I'll speak to Moro on the subject. I don't care if we are family, your mother did nothing to help me."

Mareous dismissed the scout and started to bound to the place where Haze had been reported. He came up to her rear, his love about 100 yards away. Rounding the trees and bushes in secret, Mareous stepped into view and narrowed his eyes, tilting his head. Soft speaking and soothing words were beyond his new, hard personality. He had a new motto ... Kill or be killed.

Cray looked passed Haze, who's ears were turned back towards Maroeus. They both could sense his presence. Cray growled, "If you wish to speak with one of us, you might want to come closer." Haze turned, her eyes turning her dark blue once again. She nodded towards Mareous, her heart still hard from the battles she had faced in the Dark Forest.

I sniffed at Haze and bowed low to Cray. "Just came to see if the stranger was back yet. I'll be gone now, your Highness" I blinked and dissapred.

Cray nodded and took a few steps closer, his chest touching Haze's, bending his head low and inhaled in her scent and growled deeply, "Now you are a part of me. When you need me, or I need you. Just call." Haze closed her eyes and felt the strange magic that surrounded her.
Haze watched Mareous go, he was different. She wasn't sure if that was a good or bad thing. She sighed and nodded, realizing that an unwanted bond had just been made. She prayed that Cray would not touch her again, although his stare was cold and hard, his body burned like hot summer forest fires.

I winced and stopped in my tracks. I turned to Haze and my eyes filled with love.

"Shall we go to a place we can train?" Cray growled, glancing over to Mareous.
Haze stiffened but nodded.

Haze gave one last glance over her shoulder, "It's for the best," She whispered, her voice being carried softly over to Mareous by a cold breeze.
Cray stood behind her, walking silently, his back turned towards the ex-head of guard.

Haze could hear Mareous's cold whisper, "I was learning to. But my story doesn't have a chapter where love comes in. I'm sorry." The black wolf sent this message on the wind, and then said quietly to herself, "It's because I cared for you--that I left."
Cray snarled and snap in Haze's direction, "Let's get on a move on, shall we?" he growled impatiently.

I heard Cray impatiently boss Haze about and looked back, snarled at him and then put back my ears. My bright blue eyes suddenly turned murky red and the tip of my tail shaded in a black colour, working all the way to my paws and back. "Don't threaten her Cray. Be careful." I turned back to normal.

Cray pulled by his mouth in a curled snarled, but nodded towards Haze, apologizing to her but warning Mareous not to over step his boundaries. Haze smiled at Mareous and whispered, "Meet me here tonight. We must talk." Then she walked off with Cray, leaving but only a few paw prints in the dirt.

I bowed to Cray, and then pricked my ears at Haze. I then faded from view...
12 hours later, I was sprinting back to the area. I sat down and started looking around, growling silently in my head.

The night air danced through the trees, chilling the brisk evening air. Haze stood on a large boulder in the center of the clearing, a fallen tree resting, propped up across it. As Mareous approached, the clouds pulled back their gray curtains to relieve the sliver light of the moon, reflecting off of Haze's blue eyes and black pelt. Her scar could be easily seen in the moon's glow, as if they both gave off the same misty light. In the summer, fire flies preformed beautiful dances for the mates that would take refuge here.
Now Haze only sat on the cold stone, her spine straight and her eyes unwavering from the male in front of her. Forbidden to love or show tenderness--but daring herself to do it regardless.

"What is it?" I asked, staring her right back coldly. Beautiful memories of me and Haze came back, us rolling into a stream, racing across fields, hunting ...
