I brought the horse down.
It was a young girl, with a shaggy coat and short hair.
I devoured a leg, but then started to drag it back to the castle.
I waited at the bottom of the main stair way, howling.

Haze heard the call and answered quietly, her voice hoarse. She walked down the stares, black blood watching her closely, still suspicious of her presence. They knew what Haze was capable of.

I smiled at her, standing back to produce the dead horse.
"What are you scum staring at?!" I snapped at the BB's and they scurried off, head lowered.
Latifah was among them.
Seeing her, i swallowed and averted my eyes, keeping them locked at Haze, who was still descending the stairs.

Haze's eyes widened at seeing the horse. One of her favorite meals. She nodded towards Mareous in a thanks and bit into the horse. Enjoying the smell of the blood and the flavor. She ignored the stare of Latifah, the two she-wolves never did get along. They were both strong willed and Latifah was always a bit weaker than Haze. Which also bothered her.

I watched Haze eat, nuzzling her shoulder.
"Latifah" I nodded politly at the female.

Haze pulled at piece of meat brutally off from the horse and gave Latifah a long sideways glance. Haze was known for her cold stares, they were brutal and bitter cold.
She stood tall, blood on her muzzle and a bit on her chest. She bit into a bone and broke it in half. Oh how she-wolves could be so cold to each other.

Latifah nodded at Me and snarled at Haze.
I started to chew on a bit of meat, pondering what to do if they leapt at each other.

Haze lowered her head and let out a long growl, warning her to back off the kill. The black wolf placed her ears flat on her head, glaring coldly at her, Haze's upper lip quivering slightly, jaws opened slightly. She was ready to fight--in fact, she craved.

Latifah narrowed her amber eyes at Haze, snapping back.
The black wolf before her was taller and leaner, with longer teeth.
But Latifah's wit and 3inch claws would get her far ... maybe even clawing out an eye and some chunks of fur and flesh.
"Mareous, darling, won't you come a walk with me?" I asked, fluttering my short lashes at the handsome white male, who was sitting looking at Haze.

Haze's eyes broke away from the she-wolf's and glanced nervously at Mareous. She didn't trust Latifah and she didn't want him to get hurt. Despite Haze's best and coldest judgement, she was starting to be protective of Mareous which for the first step in trusting him.

"Maybe some other time, Latty" I smiled, lowering my gaze to Haze.
I was bigger and stronger than the two she wolves, so if a fight broke out ...
"It's because SHE'S here, yeah?" Latifah called out, making her words loud and clear.
"Because my girl friend is here? No, it's because i only like you as a friend, Latifah" I snapped.

Haze snarled, letting the she-wolf know she had gone too far. "Hey, hey." She snapped, "Don't go making this my fault. Do you think I asked to be brought here?" Haze glared daggers at Latifah, she was ready for a fight. She wanted to hear the she-wolf whimper.

"Did i mention wanting to talk to you? Mareous darling, come with me" Latifah snapped and beckoned her head.
I licked my lips, taking up the space between Latifah and Haze.
"Latty, I'm with Haze now ... i'm sorry it has to be this way" I said quietly, paw wavering near Haze's.
"Why?! It's clear im the most gorgeous ... and by the looks of her belly, i'm not going off getting myself pregnant! Or maybe Haze is just FAT! And what sort of name is Haze anyway?! Dear Venus, her mother must have been high on drugs when she named her!" Latifah threw back her head, cackling and bubbling with laughter.

Haze wasn't with Mareous but her voice and protest was lost in Latifah's high pitched snort. Haze rolled her eyes and looked down at her paws, "I can't get pregnant." She said simply, shrugging slightly. "And I was named after the planet, you know what a planet is right?" She asked, "Should I speak slower for you Latifah? I know you've been too busy staring at yourself in the mirror to listen to anything of value." Haze said shortly.
Before Latifah could make another remark, Haze was off, trotting down the cracked, stone stares that lead to the main hall and out into the snowy grounds.

Haze's breaths were deep, she quick. She wouldn't stop running, not until she was back at her special place. Some of the wolves had allowed a part of the wild forest to be her home. It was secluded and safe. She just wanted to breathe.

I followed Haze, biting my lip.
"Don't listen to Latifah, she's just jealous!" I snarled as i thought of Latty ... betraying my trust, our friend ship ...
"Listen, i love you Haze. You and only you. That's how it is now ... probably how it always gonna be is" I looked deep into her gorgeous eyes.

Haze bit the inside of her mouth, blood flowing over her tongue. "Mareous, you can't love me. You just can't." She snarled and slashed the water near the river she was standing near. "I am no longer my own being. I'm meant to kill Moro or die trying. It's my destiny." She knew what sacrifices she had to make later on when she excepted being Mar's warrior.

"Mareous," Haze choked, fighting off a tears. She wanted to love him, but she couldn't hurt him. She would hate herself for causing him pain. "You'd have to wait for me...until this battle is over." She whispered, looking down. "You can still walk away now."
