Rein
I stood on the high mound of dirt, letting the hail batter my coat, dripping off my legs and onto the ground. I opened my bright blue eyes and blinked the water from them. There was a faint smell of stag, but an even stronger smell of a wolf. The rain masked the gender from me, but i was prepared.

Kapu walked slowly up to Rein, watching her. He flicked some water off his coat, Rein's back towards him. He trotted up alongside of the she-wolf placing his big bush tail of her head. "A princess shouldn't have to stand in the rain unless she desires it." He said, his voice a dark rumble. He grinned smugly at the princess and flicked some more water from his head, making sure not to spray her.

"And the princess does" Rein said, without looking at the male. He had been stalking her and her prey for a few days now, so she was expecting this. Stepping out from his damp sheltering tail, Rein leaped off of the earth mound and started walking through the forest. Not once did she look at the male.

Kapu shrugged and followed close behind her, examining her form and features. She was attractive, something that Kapu wanted to make a full conquest on. He lowered his head slightly, making sure it wasn't higher than the princess's. "How is the hunt? Isn't that why you're so far from the castle grounds?" He asked, looking at Rein with a smug smile.

"What do you want, a medal?" I still kept my eyes ahead of me, walking before him. There was some boar tracks scuttling away to the North-West, and a strong deer scent in the East. But i set my sights higher. The massive tigress stalked the under growth. She was 3metres long, 2 metres tall and her paws were the size of my face. Her tail trailed behind her as she followed the stag silently. Rein crouched, shushing the male beside her. She waited until the stripy animal was around 70ft before her, and then she pounced, crashing through the tall grass. The tigress was caught off guard and Rein jumped on the bulky neck, assuming to break it. But the tigress brought her huge paws up and clawed Rein off of her back, head butting her soft under belly. Rein hissed and scratched at the tiger's beautiful amber eyes, managing to catch them both and yank them out. The tigress yowled with pain and Rein took advantage of this diversion to climb atop the long back and try to break the female animal's chunky neck. There was a crack and the tigress slumped down, dead. "Wasn't much of a fight" Muttered Rein, spinning the tiger over and digging into the soft tummy.

Kapu watched, slightly disgusted and slightly impressed. He didn't find the flesh of a tigress at all filling but kill one for glory was understandable. He nodded, watching Rein easily cut open it's belly. The smell of blood fresh in the snowy air. He sighed and trotted a few feet off, knowing it was rude to watch a she-wolf eat unless invited to take part. It was only a omega's roll to watch others eat.

I finished the insides of the tiger, yawning and stretching out my paws. My belly was full to bursting point as i swaggered away in the other direction. Not once had i looked at the male.

Kpau was getting tired of this cat and mouse game. Never had he been so ill treated. But the challenge and the reward--were too much for him to reject. He walked up behind her and nipped playfully at her sides, trying a different approach. "You're a beautiful hunter." He growled seductively.

"Bite me and you'll regret it" I said calmly, staring at him sternly. I took in his body, his colours, his muslce and tilted my head, frowning.

Kapu nodded slightly, "Well, as you wish." He answered, wondering why she was frowning. "Something wrong?" he asked, titling his head the same direction as Rein's.

"Nothing you should worry your little head about" I said, keeping still, not blinking or breathing. Rein ... Blade ... REIN! I gasped, and turned away, eyes wide. "I ... Who are YOU?!" I threw over my shoulder, walking on.

"I'm interested." Kapu said, cocking a brow. He followed close behind her, trotting slightly. "I could be anyone you wanted. But most call me Kapu."

"It's nothing concerning you" I said frostily. For a few seconds, i faltered, steps slowing. I glanced at Kapu. "Rein" I said, turning back and trying to concentrate on walking again.

"Beautiful name." He said, looking over her features. He wanted her, and to get to know her.

"Thanks ... i guess you've been living in silence for the past 4yrs ... to not know a princess's name ... shocking. I'm rather insulted" I let a slight smile pass my face, as i took refuge under a huge sheltering oak tree. I cuddled up against the warm bark, felt it pulse with sap. So warm ...

"No, I know who you are. But I thought the princess treatment was getting old for you. If it hasn't, I could give it to you." Kapu flirted, sitting in front of her.

"I'm flattered" I said flatly, raising a brow. I lay down, stretched on my side, paws resting on the still warm bark. I looked at Kapu, blinking some rain from my eyes.

Kapu allowed his eyes to feast upon her silky body. He smiled at Rein, "Mind if I join you?"

"You couldn't make it more obvious you were flirting" I laughed, but composed myself. "If you want to take the risks, of course" I licked my lips, pricked my ears and yawned. I watched Kapu closing, eyes trailing to the tip of his ears to his claws.

Kapu sat next to her, leaning close to her. "Like what you see?" He joked, winking at her. The rain slowly began to let up, the roar of the wind dying down.
